# Ingredients:
→ Meat
01 - 1/2 pound ground beef
02 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
03 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
04 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
05 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
→ Cheese & Bread
06 - 8 slices sandwich bread
07 - 8 slices cheddar cheese
08 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
→ Vegetables & Add-Ons
09 - 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
10 - 1 small tomato, thinly sliced
11 - 4 to 8 slices dill pickle (optional)
→ Condiments
12 - 2 tablespoons ketchup
13 - 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
# Instructions:
01 - In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Sauté until thoroughly browned, breaking up meat as it cooks. Drain any excess fat and set the cooked beef aside.
02 - Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each bread slice, ensuring full coverage to promote crisp, even browning.
03 - On the unbuttered side of four bread slices, layer the following in order: 1 tablespoon ketchup, 1/2 tablespoon mustard, 1–2 slices cheddar cheese, a generous portion of cooked beef, red onion slices, tomato slices, and dill pickle if using.
04 - Place the remaining bread slices atop each sandwich, buttered side out, gently pressing to compact and seal the fillings.
05 - Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-low. Grill sandwiches for 3 to 4 minutes per side, pressing gently, until bread is golden brown and cheese is fully melted.
06 - Remove sandwiches from the skillet. Rest briefly before slicing in half. Serve immediately while hot.
