Orange Cranberry Sparkler Rosemary (Print)

A bright and sparkling mix of orange, cranberry, and rosemary with a refreshing twist.

# Ingredients:

→ Fruit & Juice

01 - 1 cup fresh cranberries
02 - 1/2 cup fresh orange juice
03 - 1 tablespoon orange zest

→ Sweetener

04 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar

→ Herbs

05 - 2 sprigs fresh rosemary, plus extra for garnish

→ Sparkling Base

06 - 3 cups sparkling water, chilled

→ Garnish

07 - Orange slices
08 - Fresh cranberries

# Instructions:

01 - Combine cranberries, orange juice, orange zest, sugar, and rosemary sprigs in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 7-8 minutes until cranberries burst and sugar dissolves completely.
02 - Remove from heat and gently muddle rosemary sprigs. Allow the mixture to cool for 5 minutes, then strain through a fine mesh sieve, pressing firmly to extract all liquid. Discard the solids.
03 - Fill serving glasses with ice cubes. Add 2-3 tablespoons of the cooled cranberry-orange syrup to each glass.
04 - Top each glass with chilled sparkling water and stir gently to combine the syrup and water.
05 - Garnish each glass with fresh rosemary sprigs, orange slices, and cranberries. Serve immediately.

# Pro Tips:

01 -
  • It looks fancy enough to impress guests but comes together in barely twenty minutes with zero fancy equipment needed.
  • The cranberry-orange syrup base can be made hours ahead, so you're just mixing and garnishing when people arrive.
  • One batch serves four, or you can easily multiply it for a crowd without breaking a sweat.
02 -
  • Don't overmudle the rosemary or it becomes bitter and overpowering—a gentle press is all you need to unlock its flavor.
  • The syrup is best made fresh but will keep in the fridge for three days, which means you can prep ahead for entertaining without any stress.
03 -
  • If you want an adult version, add one ounce of vodka or gin to each glass after adding the syrup but before the sparkling water—it slides in seamlessly without overpowering the flavors.
  • Freeze some of the cranberries and orange slices ahead of time; they act as edible ice cubes and look stunning as they slowly melt into the drink.
