# Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour an 8-inch square cake pan.
- Whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla extract.
- Add half of the dry mixture to the butter mixture and mix gently. Add milk, then remaining dry ingredients. Stir until just incorporated.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center emerges clean. Allow cake to cool completely.
- While cake cools, beat softened butter for the frosting until creamy. Add powdered sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Beat until smooth and airy.
- Crumble cooled cake into a large bowl. Add frosting a spoonful at a time; mix until the dough holds together but is not overly wet. Reserve unused frosting.
- Roll mixture into 1-inch balls and arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for 15 minutes or until firm.
- Melt candy melts following package directions until smooth.
- Dip the end of each lollipop stick into melted candy. Position stick halfway into each chilled cake ball.
- Immerse each cake ball in melted candy to coat evenly. Tap gently to remove excess. Quickly sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and detail with candy eyes, sprinkles, or mini chocolate chips for monster features.
- Stand coated cake pops upright in a Styrofoam block or cake pop stand. Allow candy coating to harden completely before serving.
